Ukraine Claims Russian Attacks Target Settlements in Southeastern Zaporizhzhia Region

Ukraine: Ukraine claimed Wednesday that Russian forces have carried out nearly 400 attacks on nine settlements in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours. Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that Russian troops launched 14 airstrikes on the towns of Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, and Preobrazhenka.

According to Anadolu Agency, 220 drones had targeted Kamyanske, Hulyaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. The village of Novodarivka was also struck by multiple launch rocket systems, while 161 artillery strikes hit seven other settlements.

Authorities received 13 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure due to the attacks, Fedorov added, as the Ukraine war approaches its third anniversary. There was no immediate comment from Russia on the claims.
