Ukraine Needs 700,000 Tons of Fuel Per Month, Zelenskyy Says


Ankara: Ukraine requires about 700,000 tons of diesel and gasoline each month, with annual needs exceeding 7 million tons, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday. Speaking during a video call with journalists, Zelenskyy indicated that the military remains fully supplied, emphasizing the army as a priority in fuel distribution.



According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy explained the total monthly fuel requirements for both civilian and military use, estimating the annual volumes between 7.2 to 7.4 million tons. He assured that diesel supplies have been secured for at least a year following a recent visit to the Middle East.



During this Gulf tour, Zelenskyy also reached defense agreements with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, while discussing defense cooperation advancements with the UAE. This strategic move aims to ensure Ukraine’s energy and defense stability in the coming year.
