Istanbul: Trkiye’s Communications Directorate on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Azerbaijan’s Media Development Agency within the scope of the International Strategic Communication Summit (STRATCOM) 2026 in Istanbul.

According to Anadolu Agency, the memorandum was signed by Communications Director Burhanettin Duran and Ahmad Ismayilov, chairman of the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The agreement focuses on enhancing collaboration between Trkiye and Azerbaijan in digital and social media, audiovisual media, strategic communication, and crisis management, as highlighted by Duran.

The memorandum outlines the establishment of a joint working commission and permanent committees under the Trkiye-Azerbaijan Joint Media Platform. This initiative aims to bolster media integration between the two nations, ensure the dissemination of accurate public information, and collaboratively address the challenge of disinformation.
