Kyiv: Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Friday met EU ambassadors to discuss coordinated responses against Russia, appealing for increased military, financial, and humanitarian assistance. 'In the face of massive Russian aggression, there is an urgent need to increase support,' Shmyhal said in a statement on X.

According to Anadolu Agency, Shmyhal also raised the issue of sanctions and the seizure of frozen Russian assets to help fund Ukraine's recovery and defense efforts. He emphasized the government's wartime priorities, including economic stability, reconstruction, bolstering the defense industry, and advancing Ukraine's EU integration process.

Shmyhal expressed the importance of starting negotiations on clusters, which refer to specific areas of EU law that Kyiv must align with for accession talks. He also conveyed gratitude towards the EU and all member states for their solidarity with Ukraine.
