Nairobi: The US military's Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it has concluded its eighth consecutive night of strikes against Iranian military targets, acting under the directive of the commander-in-chief. The operations were made public on the American social media platform X.
According to Anadolu Agency, CENTCOM confirmed the latest round of strikes occurred on July 18 at 11:30 p.m. ET. The strikes targeted Iranian coastal surveillance and air defense facilities, as well as maritime capabilities and missile and drone storage sites. The intention behind these actions is to further degrade Iranian military capabilities.
Additionally, American military assets targeted the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces responsible for attacks on US service members in Jordan late Friday. CENTCOM emphasized that US military personnel stationed in the Middle East remain vigilant, focused, lethal, and prepared for any situation.
