New York:US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that President Donald Trump believes a crisis in the West Bank is unnecessary given the current global situation, emphasizing the region does not need another conflict.

According to Anadolu Agency, Rubio highlighted that President Trump has been clear in his stance to avoid additional flashpoints in the Middle East, given the ongoing challenges, including the implementation of agreements concerning Gaza, the situation in Lebanon, and the tensions involving the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, as well as conflicts with Iran. Speaking at the UN General Assembly, Rubio reiterated that the last thing needed in the region is another point of conflict, particularly for Israel.

Rubio also mentioned that the US has communicated its position on this issue to all parties involved. When questioned about the US response to Houthi attacks and the situation in Yemen, he declined to elaborate on military options but affirmed the US's strong defense agreement with Saudi Arabia and its commitment to those agreements.

He expressed disapproval of current events, noting the resumption of Saudi Arabia's East-West oil pipeline operations after it was previously halted due to drone attacks, which Saudi Arabia attributed to Iraqi militia. Rubio accused Iranian-backed groups of targeting energy infrastructure and civilians in the region, asserting that Iran supports organizations that engage in such activities. He remarked that discussions on Middle East issues often circle back to entities supported by Iran and noted that President Trump has several options at his disposal.
