Vision of Century of Trkiye Turning into Reality, Says President Erdogan

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday said that the doors of a new era are opening for his country and the Century of Trkiye vision is turning into reality. "A new era is dawning for our country. Step by step, we are turning our vision of the Century of Trkiye into reality," Erdogan said at the Justice and Development (AK) Party's 32nd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting in Ankara.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan stated that over the two-day meeting, a wide range of issues, including foreign policy, security, and the economy, were addressed. The progress made in the process of a 'terror-free Trkiye,' along with the steps to be taken from now on, were among the most important agenda items. Regarding the 'terror-free Trkiye' process, the president remarked that their messages are reaching their targets, reassuring friends and instilling fear in adversaries.

Erdogan underscored that the nation is on the verge of completely freeing itself from terrorism, a burden imposed 47 years ago, and has already begun to see concrete signs of this progress. He expressed hope for support from all political parties with parliamentary groups in the Turkish parliament, emphasizing that no one should derail or undermine this process for political gains, as the unity and stability of 86 million citizens are at stake.

The president highlighted that the new era demands significant responsibilities from all political actors, not just the Justice and Development (AK) Party, but also the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Democracy and Progress (DEVA) Party, and the entire political establishment. He stated that Ankara monitors the PKK terror group's disarmament process through the mechanism established by the National Intelligence Organization and the Turkish Armed Forces.

Erdogan pointed out that Trkiye is being kept occupied with domestic issues to exclude it from global changes. He stressed that the country's strategic moves and the climate of hope fostered by the terror-free Trkiye initiative are under attack. Calls for unity among Turks, Kurds, and Arabs should not cause discomfort, and he criticized those detached from the nation's values who are sowing division.

The president further emphasized that resources once spent on fighting terrorism will now be redirected to benefit all segments of society, resulting in more schools, hospitals, factories, and greater prosperity. He stated that a 'terror-free Trkiye' promises a better future for 86 million citizens and that future generations will grow up in a region free of terrorism.

Erdogan reflected on the growing global influence of Trkiye, noting that prayers for the nation's success are being offered not only across Trkiye but also worldwide. He stated that the nation faces a crucial choice: to rise to meet expectations and uphold responsibilities or risk losing the trust of people and disappointing millions who look to Trkiye with hope. He concluded by expressing his excitement for the nation's bright future and the time for Trkiye to make its great leap forward.
