Doha: The 12th World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), a Qatar Foundation initiative, is set to take place on November 24-25 at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha. This year, the summit will revolve around the theme 'Humanity.io: Human Values at the Heart of Education.'
According to Anadolu Agency, the summit aims to explore how education systems can evolve with a human-centered approach amid the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and other technologies. The event will feature over 200 speakers from diverse fields, including education, academia, technology, policy, and social impact.
The summit's agenda will highlight approaches that prioritize human needs in learning environments, as well as innovative models and cross-sector collaborations. Notable speakers include author Laila Lalami, technology expert Mo Gawdat, Nobel Prize-winning economist Abhijit Banerjee, X Prize CEO Anousheh Ansari, and education and development leaders such as Fahad Hamad Hassan Al-Sulaiti, Marieme Jamme, and Omar Al-Shogre.
One of the key highlights of the event will be the announcement of the winner of the 2025 WISE Education Prize, which honors significant global contributions to the field of education. Since its inception in 2009, WISE has served as a global platform that advocates for innovative education models and encourages cross-sector cooperation.
