Yemeni Army Conducts 181 Operations Against Houthis in 24 Hours

Sanaa: The Yemeni army announced on Sunday that it has launched 181 military operations against Houthi positions and targets across several governorates within the past 24 hours. These operations reportedly resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous members of the Houthi group.

According to Anadolu Agency, the military operations led to the destruction of a significant number of military equipment, vehicles, and weapons depots belonging to the Houthis. This information was relayed by the military spokesman, Col. Majid Abdullah al-Nuzaili, through the US social media platform X.

Col. Nuzaili specified that the targeted attacks were directed at military sites and Houthi fire sources in the regions of Taiz, Marib, Abyan, Al-Dhalea, and Al-Hudaydah. The Houthis have not yet issued a response to these statements.

Yemen has experienced a relative decrease in conflict since April 2022 in a war that has persisted for almost 12 years. The conflict began between government forces and the Houthis, who have maintained control over the capital Sanaa and other regions since September 2014.

Nevertheless, fighting has recently reignited in various provinces such as Marib, Al-Jawf, Al-Dhalea, and Taiz. Yemen continues to grapple with one of the most severe humanitarian and economic crises globally.
