Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of deliberately "prolonging the war" to avoid negotiations and maintain instability in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy stated that Putin is afraid of negotiations and strong leaders, and is taking steps to extend the conflict. Zelenskyy expressed his views on the platform X, highlighting Putin's tactics aimed at making the war endless. He emphasized that there is an opportunity for lasting peace, but Putin's actions suggest a desire to continue large-scale attacks or secure a temporary pause for future aggression.

Zelenskyy urged world leaders to learn from past mistakes, warning of Putin's significant threat to global stability. He argued that Putin lacks the resolve to withstand pressure from strong leadership. Zelenskyy called for decisive and united action from those who believe in peace, stressing that true peace is possible only if Russia is compelled into it.
