Munich: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Saturday that he held a meeting with US President Donald Trump's envoys in Germany to discuss the upcoming trilateral peace talks in Geneva. The discussions came on the heels of diplomatic efforts in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy mentioned that his conversation with Trump's envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, was in preparation for the trilateral meetings in Geneva. He expressed optimism about the potential outcomes of these discussions, hoping they would be productive.

Zelenskyy highlighted that the meeting covered developments from previous negotiations held in Abu Dhabi earlier this month. The Ukrainian leader also met with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Munich, where he expressed appreciation for the consistent support from Washington.

Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of America's constructive approach and its readiness to assist in safeguarding lives. He confirmed that Ukraine's negotiating team is prepared to formally present its position during the upcoming round of talks.
