Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday stated he anticipates receiving a comprehensive report from Kyiv's delegation regarding the Geneva talks with US officials 'within the next hour.' Ukraine aims to decide its forthcoming steps based on the results and continuous collaboration with European partners.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy communicated via Telegram that he had a phone conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, where they discussed the ongoing diplomatic efforts as Kyiv's delegation 'returns home' from Geneva. He also mentioned having a call with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, who is in Angola for the EU-African Union Summit, to brief him on the meetings in Geneva and their initial outcomes.

Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the significant attention Ukraine is receiving and emphasized the importance of other European leaders' involvement in contacts with the American team as decisions on shared security are being formed. He stated his expectation for a full report on the progress of the talks in Geneva and the principal emphases of Ukraine's partners.

The phone call aligns with the recent discussions between senior US and Ukrainian officials in Geneva, Switzerland, on the US proposal aimed at advancing peace efforts in Ukraine. The talks involved a US delegation led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and President Donald Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff, alongside a Ukrainian delegation led by presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak.

Following the talks, the US and Ukraine drafted an 'updated and refined' peace framework, as noted in a joint statement. They described the discussions as showing "meaningful progress toward aligning positions and identifying clear next steps."

Earlier, the Kremlin announced that Moscow has not yet received information from Washington regarding the consultations held in Geneva and stated that Russia will await the outcome of the discussions before assessing any possible changes to the document.
