Manama: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Tuesday that he engaged in discussions with Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa regarding the Middle East situation, a potential 'drone deal,' and agricultural cooperation.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy shared details of the meeting held in Manama via Telegram, characterizing it as 'good and productive.' He stated that the discussions covered the security landscape in the Middle East and the Gulf region, including challenges, security opportunities, and issues related to Iran's actions against Bahrain and other countries, as well as the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Zelenskyy revealed that he proposed the establishment of a drone deal and the expansion of cooperation with Bahrain, noting that the king responded positively. Both countries have agreed to have their teams work on the specifics of the agreement.

He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral economic relations and partnerships in agricultural production. The conversation also touched on efforts to achieve peace with Russia and the potential for mutually opening embassies.
