Washington: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced plans to meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington, DC on Monday to discuss strategies for ending the ongoing conflict with Russia. Zelenskyy expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage directly with Trump, stating that the discussion would focus on "details regarding ending the killing and the war." The announcement followed a phone call between the two leaders, which later expanded to include European leaders.

According to Anadolu Agency, European leaders have shown support for Trump's initiative to advance peace talks on Ukraine. In a joint statement, leaders from the European Commission, France, Italy, Germany, the UK, Finland, Poland, and the European Council endorsed Trump's efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine. Their statement followed a debriefing by Trump and Zelenskyy on Trump's recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. The European leaders emphasized their support for stopping the violence in Ukraine and reaching a just and lasting peace.

Meanwhile, Israel's military has announced plans to forcibly relocate Palestinians from Gaza City to the southern part of the enclave. This action is part of a larger strategy to reoccupy the Gaza Strip, which has faced international criticism. Army spokesman Avichay Adraee stated that the military would start allowing entry of tents and shelter equipment for displaced Palestinians. These supplies, allegedly supervised by the United Nations and international relief agencies, would enter through the Kerem Shalom crossing in southern Gaza, pending thorough inspections. Both the UN and aid organizations have yet to comment on the situation.
