Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a warning about a worsening shortage of antimissile systems, attributing the issue to the United States' increased attention on the conflict in Iran, which he claims has led to supply gaps that leave Ukraine vulnerable to Russian missile attacks.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy shared his concerns during an interview with CBS News, emphasizing the lack of missile production in the United States as a significant problem that could evolve into a global crisis, not just impacting Ukraine but potentially extending to the Middle East. He mentioned that he has communicated these concerns to the White House and Congress, hoping for a response to address the deficit.

Zelenskyy also noted that the shift in US diplomatic focus towards the Middle East has resulted in delays in negotiations related to Ukraine, as American officials prioritize the situation in Iran. He expressed his belief that peace with Russia could be achieved, but only through sustained pressure, including more sanctions and international efforts.

While Zelenskyy expressed his willingness to engage in direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he emphasized that any meaningful dialogue would require increased sanctions and international pressure on Russia.
