Zelenskyy Warns of Imminent Large-Scale Russian Attack on Ukraine

Kyiv:Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that Russia is preparing a 'massive strike' against Ukraine, urging citizens to pay attention to air raid warnings.

According to Anadolu Agency, Zelenskyy revealed in his evening address that Ukrainian authorities have received updated intelligence on the impending attack. He assured that the air force and other services are ready to respond to the extent that their defenses allow.

Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of international support, particularly from the United States and Europe, stating that the political will of these countries is crucial to providing Ukraine with necessary defensive capabilities.

In contrast, Russia's Foreign Ministry has advised foreigners to leave Kyiv and avoid traveling to Ukraine, indicating that Moscow will continue 'massive retaliatory strikes' against military targets in Kyiv and other cities. The ministry claims these actions are in response to 'terrorist actions' by Ukrainian forces against Russian civilians and infrastructure.

Additionally, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov accused Kyiv of escalating attacks on Russia's civilian economy. Peskov stated that Russia's current military actions are in retaliation and warned that Ukraine will bear the consequences of its actions.
