Esfahan: Four critical structures at Iran's Esfahan nuclear site were damaged in Friday's Israeli airstrikes, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Saturday. The agency's reports indicated that the airstrikes targeted significant components of Iran's nuclear capabilities.

According to Anadolu Agency, the IAEA confirmed via a post on X that the uranium conversion facility and the fuel plate fabrication plant were among the impacted buildings. Despite the damage inflicted, the agency assured that there is no expected increase in off-site radiation, indicating that the incident has not resulted in a radioactive leak.

The attack, which took place early Friday morning, involved Israel deploying approximately 200 aircraft to target Iran's nuclear program and its long-range missile capabilities. The strikes resulted in the deaths of senior Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists, escalating tensions in the region.

In response to the attack, Iran has vowed "severe punishment" against Israel and has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to address and hold Israel accountable for its actions. The situation remains tense as the international community closely monitors developments.
