Flow of Irregular Migration from North Africa to Spain Continues to Grow: Spanish Coast Guard.

Madrid: The Spanish Coast Guard has reported a continued increase in irregular migration from North Africa to Spain. This ongoing trend highlights significant challenges for Spanish authorities as they manage the increasing number of individuals attempting to reach the country by sea. According to Anadolu Agency, the growing flow of migrants is putting pressure on Spain's maritime resources, as the Coast Guard works to intercept and assist these vessels in often precarious conditions. The increase in migration has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of those making the perilous journey across the Mediterranean Sea. In a separate development, Russia's foreign trade surplus saw a notable increase of 11.55% in the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reaching $114.9 billion. This economic indicator reflects Russia's trade dynamics amidst global economic changes. Meanwhile, in a symbolic gesture of unity, Keir Starmer stood alongside French President Emmanuel Macron during a ceremony honoring fallen soldiers of World War I and veterans of subsequent conflicts. The ceremony underscored the enduring partnership between the two nations in recognizing shared historical sacrifices.
