Zhuhai: Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoygu visited Airshow China, a prominent six-day aviation event in southern China, as reported by local media. During his visit, Shoygu received briefings on China's military advancements, including their aircraft carrier and amphibious assault formations. He was also informed about China's domestically developed fifth-generation fighter jets, the J-20S and J35A. According to Anadolu Agency, the 15th International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition, known as Airshow China, began on Tuesday in Zhuhai. Notably, China's stealth fighter jet J35A made its debut at the event, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army Air Force. Additionally, Beijing unveiled a large-scale model of its next-generation J-20S stealth fighter jet. The event has attracted participation from more than 1,020 enterprises across 47 countries and regions, marking a significant increase in international involvement. The number of foreign aviation ex hibitors has doubled since last year, with 159 exhibitors participating this year compared to 78 in 2022. Noteworthy is the debut showcase of Russia's Su-57 advanced stealth fighter jet at the event. Shoygu's visit to China is part of a five-day official trip for annual bilateral strategic security consultations with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
