Tampa:Military and technical discussions between Lebanon and Israel commenced on Tuesday at the US Central Command (CENTCOM) headquarters in Tampa, Florida. These discussions are being facilitated under US mediation, as reported by diplomatic sources in Beirut.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the meetings aim to review the implementation of the 'framework agreement' signed in June. The discussions will also focus on 'pilot areas' in southern Lebanon from which the Israeli army is scheduled to withdraw.

The talks are part of ongoing US efforts to monitor the implementation of the agreement. This comes amid continued Israeli attacks on areas of southern Lebanon.
