ANKARA: Trkiye and Italy are aware of the importance of stability in the Mediterranean, the head of the Italian Senate's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee said on Tuesday. According to Anadolu Agency, following a visit to the Turkish parliament by a delegation from the Italian Senate's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, Stefania Craxi emphasized that the two countries share a 'common sensitivity' toward the Mediterranean. This shared perspective has elevated the significance of the relationship between Trkiye and Italy in the international arena. Craxi highlighted the critical choice facing the region: "Either the Mediterranean and the African continent will become a region of peace and stability, or terrorism, irregular migration, and instability will prevail." She underscored the importance of collaboration, stating that the shared vision of stability and peace unites Trkiye and Italy, allowing both nations to work closely together toward these common goals.
