ISTANBUL: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, commenced the week with a slight increase, opening at 10,040.66 points. This marks a rise of 0.15% or 15.19 points from its previous close.

According to Anadolu Agency, on Friday, the BIST 100 index concluded the week with a gain of 0.77%, finishing at 10,025.47 points. The daily transaction volume at that time was recorded at 74 billion liras, equivalent to approximately $2.11 billion.

As of 9.53 a.m. local time (0653GMT), the exchange rates stood at USD/TRY 35.2820, EUR/TRY 36.7921, and GBP/TRY 44.4038. Meanwhile, the price of one ounce of gold was registered at $2,631.11, and Brent crude oil was priced around $73.73 per barrel.
