Putin Sends New Year’s Greetings to Global Leaders

MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin extended New Year's greetings to multiple world leaders and former officials, as announced on Monday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Kremlin released a statement detailing that President Putin conveyed his seasonal well-wishes to a range of international leaders. Among those receiving greetings were the presidents of Azerbaijan, Brazil, China, Kazakhstan, North Korea, Serbia, South Africa, Trkiye, and Uzbekistan. Additionally, Putin reached out to the premiers of Armenia, Ethiopia, Hungary, and India.

The statement also noted that Putin's New Year's messages were sent to a selection of former heads of state and government, including former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder. The gesture reflects Russia's ongoing diplomatic engagement with a variety of nations across different continents.
