NEW YORK CITY: At least 10 people were injured late Wednesday in a mass shooting outside a nightclub in the Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD). The attack unfolded near the Amazura nightclub, but authorities emphasized that it was not linked to terrorism.
According to Anadolu Agency, the incident involved four men who opened fire on a group waiting outside the venue. Approximately 90 people were inside the nightclub at the time, with 15 others gathered outside. The suspects fired over 30 rounds before fleeing the scene in a light-colored vehicle.
The victims, comprising six women and four men, were promptly transported to nearby hospitals. An NYPD official confirmed that none of the injuries were life-threatening, and all wounded individuals are expected to recover. Authorities assured the public that efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
