New York: President-elect Donald Trump has publicly criticized the United States' leadership and border policies following a series of violent incidents that resulted in multiple casualties, including 15 fatalities in New Orleans.
According to Anadolu Agency, Trump expressed his discontent with the nation's security measures through a post on Truth Social, describing the United States as a "disaster" and a "laughing stock" globally. He attributed the violent incidents to what he perceives as "OPEN BORDERS" and "weak, ineffective, and virtually nonexistent leadership."
The criticism comes in the wake of a truck attack in New Orleans that claimed the lives of 15 individuals and left 35 others injured. In a separate incident, a Tesla Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, resulted in one fatality.
Trump further accused the Department of Justice, FBI, and Democratic prosecutors of incompetence and corruption, alleging that their focus on him has detracted from ensuring public safety. "The USA is breaking down," he stated, pointing to what he sees as a "violent erosion of Safety, National Security, and Democracy" nationwide.
He also called for CIA intervention and promised a new era of leadership when he assumes office, concluding with a pledge to "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" on January 20th.
