Police Fatally Shoot Armed Man Outside Taree Hospital

TAREE: The Australian police shot and killed a man outside Manning Hospital in Taree on Thursday after he allegedly pointed a gun at officers. The incident occurred in the car park of the hospital in New South Wales, where police responded to reports of gunfire.

According to Anadolu Agency, the man, believed to be in his 30s, had been firing shots into the air on Rouse Street in nearby Wingham before the confrontation. When police arrived at the hospital, the man allegedly aimed a firearm at them, prompting officers to open fire.

After the shooting, officers administered first aid to the man before rushing him into the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The incident has sparked plans for an independent review to determine the circumstances and responsibilities associated with the shooting.
