Ankara: Egypt on Sunday made clear its rejection of US President Donald Trump's call to relocate the Palestinians from Gaza to Egypt and Jordan. The proposal, which suggested moving Palestinians into Egyptian territory as part of a broader solution to the ongoing conflict, was firmly dismissed by Egyptian authorities.

According to Anadolu Agency, Egypt's Embassy to the United States stated on X that the country "cannot be part of any solution involving the transfer of Palestinians into Sinai." This decisive statement underscores Egypt's stance against altering its territorial and demographic landscape as a means to address the Palestinian issue.

The proposal came after Trump described Gaza as a "demolition site," suggesting that the international community "should just clean out" the Palestinian enclave and resettle its population in neighboring countries such as Jordan and Egypt.
