Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index ended Monday's trading session at 9,845.85 points, marking a 1.06% decline from its previous close. The BIST 100 index, which began the week at 9,962.07, saw a reduction of 105.8 points compared to Friday's closing figures.
According to Anadolu Agency, the index experienced a daily low of 9,830.73 and a high of 9,983.21. During the trading day, 72 indexes recorded losses, while 27 managed to close with gains. The total transaction volume reached 84.6 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.35 billion, and the overall value of the index was 8.6 trillion liras, or $240.6 billion.
The exchange rates at the close of the session were recorded as USD/TRY at 35.9970, EUR/TRY at 37.1690, and GBP/TRY at 44.5740. Additionally, the price of gold was noted at $2,908.60 per ounce, with the barrel price of Brent oil standing at $75.18.
