Turkish and Iraqi Officials Convene in Baghdad to Bolster Water Infrastructure Cooperation

Baghdad: Turkish and Iraqi officials met in Baghdad on Sunday to strengthen cooperation on Iraq's water infrastructure.

According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish Deputy Minister Ambassador Berris Ekinci and Abdul Karim Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Prime Minister's Advisory Council of Iraq, co-chaired the First Meeting of the Joint High Committee for the development of cooperation regarding Iraq's water infrastructure. The meeting, held in Baghdad, aimed to enhance collaboration between the two nations on vital water resource management.

Later on Sunday, Ekinci also held discussions with Iraqi Water Resources Minister Aoun Diab Abdullah. The meeting focused on exchanging views and exploring joint efforts and cooperation possibilities in the field of water management, as noted in a separate post from Trkiye's Foreign Ministry on X.
