Las Vegas: At least two Tesla vehicles were engulfed in flames in a targeted attack at a Las Vegas dealership. Authorities reported that the suspect, dressed in black, used Molotov cocktails and a firearm to conduct the assault around 2:45 am local time (0945GMT).

According to Anadolu Agency, at least five Tesla vehicles sustained damage in "at least three rounds" of shootings. The word 'resist' was spray-painted on the business's front doors, as stated by Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) during a news conference. An unignited Molotov cocktail was also discovered in one of the vehicles.

Koren described the incident as a "targeted attack" but assured that it appeared to be isolated, posing no further threat to the general public. As a precautionary measure, police presence has been increased at Tesla locations.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk condemned the attack on social media platform X, labeling it as 'insane and deeply wrong.' He highlighted that Tesla, as an electric vehicle manufacturer, 'has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks.'

The attack is part of a series of incidents targeting Tesla facilities, allegedly fueled by backlash against Musk's political activities, including his involvement in the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Trump has classified such violence as domestic terrorism and has warned perpetrators of serious consequences.

Last week, Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a statement, further underscoring the seriousness of these attacks.
