Kyiv: Ukraine on Thursday reported that nearly a dozen people were injured following a Russian drone attack in the Kirovohrad region. "Eleven were injured as a result of a hostile attack on the Kirovohrad region," stated the Ukrainian General Prosecutor's Office on Telegram. An investigation into the attack has been launched.

According to Anadolu Agency, the office detailed that the assault on Kropyvnytskyi extended over two hours, with more than 20 Russian drones deployed during the incident. "Two people are in serious condition. Critical and civilian infrastructure was damaged," the statement added.

Earlier reports from Ukraine's National Police mentioned that 10 individuals, including four children, were injured in the attack. The assault also resulted in damage to numerous private residences and high-rise buildings.

Elsewhere, Kirovohrad Governor Andriy Raykovych described the strikes on Telegram as 'the most massive enemy attack.' President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the nation on X, highlighting the frequency of drone launches and ongoing missile attacks by Russia, emphasizing the threat they pose to peace.

Ukraine's Air Force reported on Telegram that its air defense successfully intercepted 75 out of 171 drones launched by Russia across various regions, including Kirovohrad and Kyiv. Additionally, 63 decoy drones failed to reach their targets.
