Trump Confirms Meeting with El Salvador’s Bukele

Washington: US President Donald Trump confirmed Saturday that he will meet El Salvador President Nayib Bukele early next week. 'Looking forward to seeing President Bukele, of El Salvador, on Monday!' Trump wrote on Truth Social, praising US-El Salvador cooperation in combating terror organizations and promoting prosperity.

According to Anadolu Agency, President Bukele has accepted into his nation's custody some of the most violent alien enemies of the world, particularly those affecting the United States. Trump highlighted that these individuals are now solely under the custody of El Salvador, underscoring the country's role as a proud and sovereign nation. He emphasized that their future will be determined by President Bukele and his government and assured that they will no longer pose a threat to US citizens.

Furthermore, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt had previously announced that Trump would host Bukele at the White House, marking a significant step in reinforcing the bilateral ties between the two nations.
