Moscow: Russia has accused Ukraine of violating a recently agreed-upon moratorium on attacks targeting energy facilities, claiming that two such facilities in the Belgorod region were struck in the past day.

According to Anadolu Agency, the agreements, brokered by the US on March 18, aimed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea and included a 30-day halt on attacks targeting energy infrastructure. These agreements were reached following discussions in Saudi Arabia. Despite these agreements, accusations of violations have been frequent from both sides.

A statement from the Russian Defense Ministry reported two strikes on its energy infrastructure within the past 24 hours. The first strike occurred on Friday evening, which resulted in a 10 kV high-voltage line being disconnected in the Belgorod border region. This incident reportedly left over 600 household consumers in the Shebekinsky District without power supply.

The statement further noted that another facility was attacked, affecting power supply to consumers in the village of Stepnoye. As of now, Ukrainian authorities have not responded to these accusations.
