Ankara: Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Rafah in southern Gaza has issued a warning that it may be forced to cease operations, as its medical supplies are projected to last only one more week. The hospital attributes the looming crisis to the ongoing Israeli aggression and the closure of crossings, which have pushed the health system to the brink of collapse.

According to Anadolu Agency, the hospital disclosed that over 75% of essential medications are now unavailable, severely hindering the ability of medical staff to offer critical treatment. This shortage poses a significant threat to essential services, particularly intensive care and chronic illness treatment. Without immediate action to deliver medical supplies, most health services could face shutdown.

The hospital has called on international humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to prevent an impending health catastrophe in Gaza. This urgent appeal comes amid an already worsening humanitarian situation, as Israel has blocked all aid, medicine, food, and commercial goods from entering Gaza since March 2.

The conflict has led to the deaths of nearly 52,500 Palestinians in Gaza, with women and children accounting for the majority of the casualties. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its actions in the enclave.
