Ankara: Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Kyiv has engaged in discussions regarding two pivotal documents with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which he described as a roadmap toward achieving full membership in the organization.

According to Anadolu Agency, Shmyhal stated that the Economic Survey of Ukraine and the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Review of Ukraine, developed by the OECD, were presented during a meeting that included OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, Ukrainian government officials, and parliamentarians. Shmyhal highlighted that these documents will guide the government, private and public sectors, and Ukraine's partners in its strategic efforts.

Shmyhal reiterated Ukraine's strategic ambition to become a full member of the OECD and expressed gratitude to the organization and its member states for their ongoing support. He emphasized the importance of this collaboration in advancing Ukraine's economic and governance reforms.

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha characterized the discussions as "substantive," focusing on strengthening the OECD-Ukraine partnership. He stressed the importance of these efforts in rebuilding Ukraine and aligning it with European and global economic standards. Sybiha also acknowledged the OECD's steadfast support and its clear stance against Russia's actions in Ukraine.
