Beijing: China has labeled India's recent missile strikes inside Pakistan as "regrettable," calling for both nations to exercise restraint in the face of rising tensions. "China finds India's military operation early this morning regrettable. We are concerned about the ongoing situation. India and Pakistan are and will always be each other's neighbors," stated the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

According to Anadolu Agency, Japan has also expressed concern over the escalating situation. Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi condemned the terrorist act that took place in Kashmir on April 22 and called for both nations to stabilize the situation through dialogue. "For the peace and stability of South Asia, we strongly urge both India and Pakistan to exercise restraint and stabilize the situation through dialogue," Hayashi emphasized.

Meanwhile, Qatar has offered its assistance in de-escalating the situation. The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani communicated with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing Qatar's willingness to mediate. Sharif reiterated Pakistan's desire for peace but affirmed the country's readiness to defend its sovereignty.

Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar mentioned discussions with Al Thani, emphasizing India's targeted response to cross-border terrorism. Additionally, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have both urged for calm and dialogue, highlighting the importance of regional peace and stability.

The recent tensions stem from Indian overnight missile strikes inside Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir, which India claims targeted 'nine terrorist locations.' This follows an April 22 attack in Pahalgam, Indian-administered Kashmir, which resulted in 26 deaths. India has attributed the attack to cross-border links with Pakistan, a claim Pakistan denies.
