Turkish President Erdogan to Host Iraqi Prime Minister in Ankara

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to receive Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani at the presidential complex in Ankara. The meeting, scheduled for Thursday, marks a key moment in al-Sudani's visit to Trkiye, where he is accompanied by a high-level delegation.

According to Anadolu Agency, the visit aims to discuss the bilateral relations between Ankara and Baghdad. The agenda will also cover current regional and global developments, as confirmed by Trkiye's Communications Director Fahrettin Altun on Wednesday via X.

A significant event during the visit is the meeting of the Trkiye-Iraq High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. It is anticipated that several documents will be signed to enhance cooperation between the two nations in various sectors. Fahrettin Altun expressed optimism regarding the visit, stating, "With Prime Minister Sudani's visit, we believe that the deep-rooted Trkiye-Iraq relations will be further strengthened across many areas."
