Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday signed a bill ratifying an economic partnership deal between Ukraine and the United States into law. The status of the bill, which was posted on the online portal of the Verkhovna Rada, the parliament, was updated to indicate its return with Zelenskyy's signature.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Ukrainian parliament ratified the agreement on May 8. President Zelenskyy described the agreement as 'a historic document that opens a new stage in our relations.' The deal, initially signed on April 30 in Washington, DC, encompasses the creation of a joint investment fund aimed at supporting Ukraine's reconstruction efforts.

The economic partnership will be partially financed through revenues generated from natural resource extraction, marking a significant step in the collaboration between the two nations.
