Istanbul: The Kremlin has announced that a Russian delegation will travel to the Turkish city of Istanbul on Thursday to engage in direct peace talks with a Ukrainian delegation. The discussions are part of ongoing efforts to address the conflict between the two nations.

According to Anadolu Agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov informed journalist Pavel Zarubin about the planned meeting during an interview. Peskov emphasized that the Russian delegation will be present and awaiting the Ukrainian representatives, as proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The specific individuals representing Moscow at the talks will be disclosed upon Putin's directive to make this information public.
