Turkish Stock Exchange Opens Thursday Up

Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index began trading on Thursday at 9,730.71 points, marking an increase of 0.30% or 29.16 points from the previous day's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 saw a slight rise of 0.01% on Wednesday, closing at 9,701.55 points with a daily transaction volume totaling 109.3 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $2.82 billion. By 09.50 am local time (0650GMT) on Thursday, the exchange rates were recorded at 38.7430 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 43.6470 to the euro, and 51.6615 to the British pound.

In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold stood at $3,152.50, while Brent crude oil was trading at $64.40 per barrel.
