Jakarta: Chinese Premier Li Qiang arrived in Jakarta on Saturday for a three-day official visit to Indonesia. During his stay, Li is set to engage in discussions with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto.
According to Anadolu Agency, the two leaders will focus on both bilateral and regional issues during their meeting on Sunday. These discussions are seen as a testament to the mutual commitment of China and Indonesia to bolster and advance their ties and cooperation in strategic areas. Yusuf Permana, a deputy of Indonesia's Presidential Secretariat in charge of protocol and media relations, highlighted the importance of this meeting.
In addition to his visit to Indonesia, Premier Li will proceed to Malaysia to participate in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations-Gulf Cooperation Council-China summit in Kuala Lumpur, scheduled for May 26-28.
