Kuala Lumpur: Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah is currently "feeling tired" and is "resting" at the National Heart Institute, as reported by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during a press briefing on Tuesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, Sultan Bolkiah was admitted to the institute after experiencing fatigue while visiting Malaysia for the annual summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The visit coincides with Malaysia's role as the current chair of ASEAN, where leaders from the Southeast Asian bloc, China, and the Gulf nations are gathered.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim shared details of the Sultan's condition during a live-streamed news conference, where he mentioned, "Well, he's feeling a bit tired, so he's resting at the National Heart Institute." The summit continues as planned, despite the Sultan's hospitalization.
