Beijing: China on Thursday expressed its support for negotiations involving "all parties" to address the ongoing Iranian nuclear issue, emphasizing solutions that accommodate the legitimate concerns of "all sides." A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman, Lin Jian, stated that Beijing consistently advocates for resolving these issues through political and diplomatic means and supports Iran in maintaining dialogue.

According to Anadolu Agency, Lin's comments came amid reports that the US has ordered the evacuation of non-essential personnel from various parts of the Middle East, particularly Iraq, due to potential regional unrest. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reiterated Wednesday that Iran will not yield to what he described as 'American arrogance' concerning its nuclear program.

US President Donald Trump expressed diminished confidence compared to a few months ago regarding the possibility of reaching a new nuclear deal with Iran. The two countries resumed nuclear diplomacy in April, with Oman acting as a mediator. Since then, five rounds of talks have been held in Muscat and Rome, but a decisive breakthrough remains elusive.

A central issue in the negotiations is uranium enrichment, with the US demanding its dismantling while Iran insists on continuing the program. Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has expressed skepticism about the talks with the US, asserting that Iran 'needs no one's permission' to enrich uranium.

President Trump has threatened military action against Iran if a new nuclear agreement is not reached to replace the 2015 deal, which the US exited in 2018.
