Zanjan: Three members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed in Israeli attacks on the country's Zanjan province, Iranian state media reported on Saturday. The incident is part of escalating tensions between the two nations.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Ansar al-Mahdi Corps of Zanjan identified the deceased as Hamid Tomari, Akbar Azizi, and Amir Khani. These individuals were reportedly killed during an Israeli attack on Friday. However, details regarding their specific roles and ranks within the IRGC have not been revealed.

The Israeli offensive, which took place in the early hours of Friday, targeted Iran's nuclear and missile facilities. The strikes resulted in the deaths of top military commanders and leading scientists. In retaliation, Iran launched missiles on Friday night, targeting several locations across Israel.

The military confrontation continued into Saturday, with Israeli forces striking Iranian cities and facilities. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that the military operation will persist as long as deemed necessary.
