Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Egyptian counterpart Abdelfattah al Sisi discussed the Israel-Iran conflict, as well as regional and global issues over a phone call. President Erdogan emphasized that Israel's actions are detrimental to regional security, and he expressed concerns over Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's disregard for international laws, which he believes poses a threat to global stability.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan conveyed to Sisi that the region cannot afford another crisis, highlighting the potential derailing of efforts for a nuclear deal with Iran due to Israel's actions. Erdogan stressed the importance of the ongoing talks, mediated by Oman, and insisted that Israel's attacks on Iran should not overshadow the ongoing situation in Gaza.

Oman's foreign minister confirmed on Saturday that the sixth round of Iran-US nuclear talks, which was scheduled for Sunday in Muscat, has been canceled.
