Israel Launches New Wave of Airstrikes in Western Iran

Tel Aviv: Israeli warplanes launched a new wave of airstrikes in western Iran on Thursday, the army said. A military statement noted that approximately 20 fighter jets participated in the strikes targeting troops and missile infrastructure. Additionally, the army reported that an Israeli drone targeted trucks carrying ballistic missiles as they allegedly arrived at their launch sites. Details about the precise location of the strikes were not disclosed.

According to Anadolu Agency, hostilities began on Friday when Israel initiated airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, leading to retaliatory strikes from Tehran. Israeli authorities have stated that at least 24 people have been killed and hundreds injured due to Iranian missile attacks during this period. In contrast, Iranian media reports indicate that 585 people have been killed and more than 1,300 wounded in the Israeli assault.
