Israeli Military Conducts New Wave of Strikes on Tehran

Jerusalem: The Israeli military launched a new wave of strikes on the Iranian capital Tehran and other parts of the country Thursday. Earlier, the Israeli Air Force reported intercepting a drone launched from Iran overnight, which triggered air raid sirens in several areas of northern Israel. Shortly after, a second drone was intercepted in the Jordan Valley, as announced on X.

According to Anadolu Agency, regional tensions have escalated since Friday when Israel initiated airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, targeting military and nuclear facilities. These actions prompted Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes. Israeli authorities report that at least 24 people have been killed and hundreds injured due to Iranian missile attacks in response to these strikes.

In contrast, reports from Iranian media indicate that 585 people have been killed and more than 1,300 wounded as a result of the Israeli assault. The ongoing conflict has further strained relations between the two nations, with each side experiencing significant casualties and damage.
