Beijing: China on Sunday condemned the US for its attacks on nuclear sites in Iran, urging all parties to engage in dialogue and end hostilities.

According to Anadolu Agency, China's Foreign Ministry issued a statement from Beijing, criticizing the US actions as violations of the UN Charter and international law, which have increased tensions in the Middle East.

Beijing urged all parties involved in the conflict, specifically mentioning Israel, to agree to a cease-fire, protect civilians, and engage in dialogue and negotiations. The situation escalated after US President Donald Trump announced that American forces conducted airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan, amid concerns of a broader conflict.

Following the US strikes, Iran called for an emergency UN Security Council meeting to condemn the attacks and hold violators of international law accountable. The hostilities began on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes on various Iranian sites, prompting Tehran to retaliate.

Israeli authorities reported that at least 25 people have been killed and hundreds injured in Iranian missile attacks. Meanwhile, the Iranian Health Ministry reported that 430 people have been killed and over 3,500 wounded in the Israeli assault.
