Turkish Airlines Cancels Flights to Middle Eastern Destinations Amid Rising Tensions

Istanbul: Trkiye's flag carrier, Turkish Airlines, announced Monday that Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat flights scheduled for today have been canceled.

According to Anadolu Agency, the airline made the announcement through a post on its social media account, stating: "Dear Passengers, our flights to Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, and Muscat scheduled for June 23, 2025 have been canceled." The airline advised passengers to check for updates on its website.

The cancellation of flights followed a significant escalation in regional tensions. Iran launched a barrage of missiles at the US military's Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday. This attack came after the US targeted three Iranian nuclear sites in Iran early Sunday, leading to heightened security concerns in the region.
