Beijing: The Communist Party of China (CPC) announced that its membership has exceeded 100 million, marking a historic milestone as the party approaches its 104th founding anniversary. According to Anadolu Agency, by the end of 2024, CPC membership had reached over 100.27 million, reflecting an increase of nearly 1.09 million from the previous year. This information was based on a report released by the Central Organization Department of the CPC, as cited by Xinhua News Agency. The report highlighted that the number of primary-level organizations within the CPC rose to 5.25 million by the end of 2024, an increase of 74,000 from the previous year. In 2024 alone, more than 2.13 million new members joined the party. Of these new members, 52.6% were from frontline production and work, 54.4% held at least a junior college degree, and 83.7% were aged 35 or younger. By the end of 2024, nearly 57.79 million members had attained a junior college degree or higher, making up 57.6% of the party's membership. Female me mbers accounted for nearly 31 million, representing 30.9% of the total membership. Members from ethnic minority groups made up 7.7%, while workers and farmers constituted about 33% of the party's membership. China, with a population exceeding 1.4 billion, ranks as the world's second most populous country.
